This is officially my second post of the summer. Time flies when you're having fun.
I'm sitting here in my own little piece of heaven....my apartment at the Children's Home, typing away on my little laptop, looking out the window and seeing the sudanese kids riding around on their bikes and making a huge fuss.
Oh, how I love life.
This summer has proven:
1. The faith of children is what i long for.
2. God can use children to make me grow up.
3. I love this internship.
4. I love working with youth. Absolutely love it.
5. I have grown up. I have put the childish ways behind me. No longer to I fuss and whine, but I look towards the future and what God has in store for me, never missing the opportunities set before me.
I absolutely love this place. Yes, I am excited to go "home." Wherever that may be. We've all heard the phrase "Home is where the heart is." It's more true than anything i've ever heard (besides Jesus, of course). My home is where my best friends, family, and favorite people are. No matter where that may be. I guess i'm just flexible. I do miss all of my friends and family, and can't wait to see them, but it's pretty sad that my ministry in memphrica is almost over. I'd love to come back down here next summer, but I am leaving that door to God and waiting for Him to open or close it.
Just a few favorite things said by the kids:
**well Hunter is a christian and he still does bad things!
**you a monkey. OR you a turkey. (spoken by a 2 year old)
**miss caitlyn, you're crazy (spoken like a true genius)
**missah caitalyn, are we-a gonna go-a swimminatoday?

Stay tuned for more...
